«Give a smile» is a donation platform for people who wish to make a gesture in favour of children in hospitals or specialist care centres. It allows individuals, groups, associations or companies to launch a campaign to collect donations and share it with their friends, relatives and colleagues. A few clicks are all it takes to create a campaign. Donations contribute directly to the Theodora Foundation's mission: to brighten the daily lives of small patients or children with disabilities.
Since its beginnings in 1993, the Theodora Foundation has been pursuing its mission to bring laughter and joy to children in hospital. Every year, artists from the Foundation – the Giggle Doctors – spread smiles and moments of happiness to thousands of children at visits across Switzerland. The Giggle Doctors are specially trained and work closely together with the care specialists. The Theodora Foundation offers different programmes tailored to children’s needs and situations. It is a recognised charity and does not receive any funding from hospitals or the government. The much-loved weekly Giggle Doctor visits depend entirely on donations from supporters and partners.
